FAQ

Do you shoot destination weddings?

I love to travel! I would be very happy to put together a package for you for a destination wedding, if that is your dream. If you are planning your perfect destination wedding, be sure to contact me as soon as possible to make plans!

Will there be a second shooter?

That depends on the type of session and your preference! For most portrait sessions I work alone; however, for weddings and events I do regularly secure the services of a second shooter from a group of trusted colleagues. When assembling the right package for you we will discuss coverage amount and whether a second shooter will be required and for how long.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

It's impossible to foresee the exact circumstances for any given session or event in advance. I will make every effort to accommodate your requests, and if extending your session the day-of is something you desire we will discuss the feasibility and associated investment required at that time.

What kind of gear do you use?

I am a loyalist to the Nikon system. My first interchangeable-lens camera was a Nikon D5100, which I purchased for myself in 2011. From there I upgraded my photography kit to Nikon D750s; at one point I owned three of them. Around 2020 I began to transition to Nikon's mirrorless system, and my workhorse is now the Nikon Z 6II. I always use two memory cards in each camera with one serving as a backup to protect against data loss and memory device failure. I know that your pictures - especially of can't-miss-it days like births or weddings! - are precious.

I use a host of prime and zoom lenses and use nothing short of the highest-quality equipment. I augment my cameras with Nikon flash equipment, particularly for low-light environments like wedding receptions and some wedding ceremony spaces.

Do I have to order prints through you?

I offer the services of high-quality, reliable print labs with which I have a working relationship to all of my clients. When building your package, I offer flexibility in purchasing a package which includes physical product such as prints or wall art or which focuses on digital images which you may choose to print on your own if you wish.
